- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined referred to the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
JET publishes only original works. Manuscripts must not be previously published or under consideration by any other publications. Papers published in JET may not be published again in whole or in part without permission. Please review these guidelines for researching, writing, formatting and submitting your manuscript. Manuscripts should only be submitted for consideration once consent is given by author. Those submitting manuscripts should be carefully checked to ensure that all works contributed to the manuscript are acknowledged. The list of authors should include all those who can legitimately claim authorship.
The journal uses the Online Journal System (OJS) for its publication procedures, encompassing submission, review, proofreading, and copyediting. Each submission will undergo screening using Turnitin to ensure a similarity index of < 30% before the review process begins. The formatting is strictly following JET manuscript template: JET Manuscript Template. The manuscript guidelines are outlined as below:
I. ABSTRACT
The abstract must be accurate as a reflection of what is in your article. The abstract is a summary of the objective, method, findings, and conclusion. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. There should be no citation of the references in abstract. There should be no abbreviations, footnotes, or citation of references in the abstract. Do not cite references in the abstract.
II. KEYWORDS
Five Key Words Maximum, In Alphabetical Order, Separated by Commas.
III. MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
The manuscript article should be written in English in the font of Times New Roman, which includes the following: abstract, introduction, literature review, objectives, research methodology, theory, testing and analysis, results and discussions, conclusion, acknowledgement, and references. A manuscript should be prepared using JET template via the Microsoft Word processor.
A. Title, Authors Name & Affiliation
The manuscript title should be centered across the full page with the first letter of each major word in capital letters. Title should be typed using 14-font size, Arial. Author name(s) should be typed using 10-font size, Arial. Author(s) affiliation and address information should be using 10-font size, Arial. Corresponding email should be Italic in 10-font size, Arial.
B. Figures, Tables, Charts & Diagrams
Figures, tables, charts & diagram should be kept to a minimum. They can be in black and white with minimum shading or colored with high visibility. Do not use color unless it is necessary for the proper interpretation of your figures. If you want reprints of your color article, the reprint order should be submitted promptly and numbered consecutively. They should have a brief title/caption in a font size of 10. The table contents should be typed in single spacing, 10-font size, Times New Roman.
IV. MATH AND EQUATION
If you are using Word, use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the MathType add-on for equations in your paper. “Float over text” should not be selected. Number equations consecutively with equation numbers in parentheses flush. First use the equation editor to create the equation. Be sure that the symbols in your equation have been defined before the equation appears or immediately following. Refer to the equation as “Equation (X)” where X is the equation number.
V. UNITS
Use SI as primary units. English units may be used as secondary units (in parentheses). For example, write “15 Gb/cm2 (100 Gb/in2).” An exception is when English units are used as identifiers in trade, such as “3½-in disk drive.” Avoid combining SI and CGS units, such as current in amperes and magnetic field. This often leads to confusion because equations do not balance dimensionally. If you must use mixed units, clearly state the units for each quantity in an equation.
VI. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT
A. Page Limit
The number of pages for the manuscript may vary from minimum of 5 pages to the maximum of 15 pages in A4 size. Authors are required to strictly advise to adhere to this limit. Manuscript with less than 5 pages or exceeding 15 pages may be unable to be included in the Journal.
B. Margin
The manuscript should be within the print area with a margin of 2.5 cm top and 2.3 cm bottom; and 2.5 cm for left and 1.7 cm for right margin. Page number should appear at the bottom right of the odd pages and bottom left of the even pages of the manuscript.
C. Text
The body of the manuscript should be typed in double column (column width = 5.5 cm and column spacing 0.81 cm), 1.15 spacing, 12-font size, Times New Roman, printed on one side of the sheet. Section headings should be typed in 12-font size, Times New Roman, align left in the column with small cap effects and each of the words is capitalized. Sections should be numbered consecutively.
D. Figures Format
Format and save your graphic images using a suitable graphics processing program that will allow you to create the images as PostScript (PS), Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), or Tagged Image File Format (TIFF). All figures should have a good resolution and contrast quality. At least 300 dpi is applied for the resolution. If you created your source files in one of the following you will be able to submit the graphics without converting to a PS, EPS, or TIFF file: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, or Portable Document Format (PDF).
E. References
JET uses IEEE citation reference. The references should be numbered and cited in text using square brackets in the following manner [1, 3-5]. Example references can be from books, journal publications, conference proceedings and websites. A list of references should be listed at the end of the manuscript. No footnotes are allowed. The references should be typed in 10-font size, Times New Roman.
The following are a few examples of references that are listed in the IEEE Style:
1. Journal article/ periodicals
Note: When referencing IEEE Transactions, the issue number and month should be deleted.
