Peer Review Policy

The practice of peer review is to ensure that a high-quality manuscript is published. Our reviewers, therefore, play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of Journal of Engineering and Technology (JET). In order to confirm the validity of the work reported, the article is reviewed by at least two reviewers who have been chosen from our panel of experts in their respective fields, with the possibility of seeking additional opinions if deemed necessary. The review process uses double-blind peer review in which the identity of both authors and reviewers are concealed. JET utilizes Open Journal System (OJS) for paper submission and for tracking the progress of a submitted article. The Editor in Chief may seek assistance from additional input from policy experts

Peer Review Process

The review process begins with the Editor in Chief evaluates submission based on their alignment with the journal's focus and scope, publishing standards, and relevance to the policy community. If deemed appropriate by the Editor in Chief, manuscripts are then assigned to Section Editor. The Section Editor assesses the manuscript and determines whether it should advance to the peer review stage. If so, they select at least two external reviewers in the field and oversee the review process. The reviewer selection considers both the manuscript's subject matter and research methods. The reviewers’ decision, along with their recommendations and reports, will be forwarded to the authors as quickly as possible. Based on the reviewer feedback, Section Editor recommends the manuscript's decision to the Editor in Chief.

It is important to note that the journal may take up to approximately 24 weeks to process the review, acknowledgement and publication of the manuscript submitted by the authors. In some cases, longer times may be unavoidable depending on feedback from reviewers, author response times to revisions, and the number of revisions.
